REVOLUTION3 Triathlon takes place in Middlebury, Connecticut at Quassy Amusement Park. On race day, Quassy opens exclusively to athletes, their family members and friends, as well as race volunteers and their families. Spectators enjoy front row action via stage screens set up in the transition area. Six cameras strategically placed throughout the course will broadcast live directly to you. Combine this with real-time GPS athlete tracking and you, too, will see the revolution unfold!

Swim Course

At the sound of the gun you will jump into one of the most beautiful, and clean lakes in all of New England. Fed by over 200 springs, Lake Quassapaug will be a treat to your senses.

This semi private lake boasts little boat traffic of any kind. The well staffed swim will be a triangle in shape, (layout is available on the site.) Quassy beach welcomes you home and sends you on a fun transition run through the Amusement Park.

Bike Course

Your bike ride begins by venturing out onto the scenic rolling hills of historic Middlebury.  You will be faced with challenging climbs culminating in gorgeous hilltop views.  Long winding descents will take you through pastoral vineyards and over Thomaston dam.  This engaging bike ride will take you past Black Rock State Reservoir – a well known nesting site for Bald Eagles.  You will be welcomed into some of Connecticut’s richest farmlands, past historic Bethleham Fairgrounds.  Follow the signs and the cheering voices as you pass through Litchfield Town Center on your way back to transition and the amazing Quassy Amusement Park.

Run Course

Exit Quassy Amusement Park onto a very scenic run course. Newly redesigned and improved for 2010!

The course itself is challenging in spots but offers ample flat sections for proper recovery.  Whether you are enjoying the scenic view of Lake Quassapaug or the rural beauty of Middlebury’s Historic District this run has something for everyone. The entire run course has been redesigned for 2010 based on your comments from the inaugural Quassy Half Rev last June.  While the course still maintains the scenic beauty that made Quassy ‘09 a hit, we’ve strived to improve the racer experience and make the course itself more racer friendly.

In attempt to promote the growing sport of triathlon, REVOLUTION3 Triathlon will be offering one of the largest professional prize purses in the sport.

Age Group:

A variety of awards such as paid vacations, bikes and wet suites will be offered in different age-group categories.  Over $20,000 in product prizes will be available for age group athletes  All athletes who complete the Half-Rev will receive an official finisher’s medal, a finishers t-shirt and a finishers towel, courtesy of REVOLUTION3 Triathlon and our sponsors.
