The Great Debate: Athena or Age Group?

I might have to quit calling this the Sunday report if I keep picking Monday or Tuesday to post it!  With all the traveling I’ve been doing lately, I feel like I am way behind on blogging, but there are just not enough hours in the day, right?

The boys and I just got home from Orlando this evening.  I feel like I’ve been away more than I’ve been home the past two weeks, so I’m looking forward to settling into my new summer schedule that involves lots of training, some coaching (yay!), some music, and some lazy days with the boys. I have a blessed life, no???

I’ve got lots more pics from our trip, and I’m going to try to put them up tomorrow, but for tonight, just the training numbers:

Swim:  45m 2187 yds
Bike:  4h 35m 55.25 mi
Run:  2h 11m 58s 13.07 mi

Total:  7h 31m 58s

I didn’t hit every workout this week, but considering I was out of the state or traveling to and from 5 days out of 7 this week, I think it’s not too shabby.

One more thing…I’d love your thoughts on this.

My weight has been hovering right around 150 for about, well, forever, it seems.  I’ve done a good job getting my body fat percentage down, but that number just doesn’t like to budge.  So, with Rev3 Quassy coming up in a few weeks, I’m considering switching to Athena division if I am still 150 at race check in. (For those of you who don’t know, Athena division is for females 150 pounds and up, so I am right on the low end of that.)  My thought is that I will be much more competitive in that division than in Female 35-39, which is a crazy hard division.  I also think if I am working hard to eat clean and am still at 149 or 150 (I’m pretty sure you get weighed with clothes on), that there is nothing to be ashamed of for being a big girl, right?  Kel thinks I shouldn’t, but I am wavering.

To that note, however, I’ve decided that from now until I head to Aflac Iron Girl Atlanta in June, I am going to be amazingly clean with my diet.  Something of note I will be foregoing until that time is my grande nonfat latte habit.  You read it here!!  Now I have at least one person to hold me accountable.

Let me know what you think – Athena or Age Group???
