Get Your Dog!!!!

This morning I woke up and headed out for a great run! It was a little bit colder than normal, so I put on these super bad ass gloves/mittens from Saucony. The color didn’t turn out too well on the pics, but that is a very bright orange and black. The right hand even has this flashing led light that you can use, or remove…it doesn’t weigh anything, so it’s not your like your hand is heavy.

With a pair of gloves, here are a couple of things that I look for, and these definitely deliver. They are warm, light weight, and they have a soft area for rubbing my nose, ’cause let’s face it, if it’s cold enough for gloves, your nose is probably going to run too.
But check this out—

There is a little finger “pop out”!! Ever tried to really use your fingers with gloves on? It can be tough-try picking your nose and you’ll see what I mean. This glove allows for you to really dig to clear the air passages while on the move!

I had a great 12 mile run full of rolling hills and a few climbs, but here’s the deal-people don’t let your dogs go after runners!!!! I was on the road, at about the 3.5mile mark, and a pit bull comes out of no where with his friend to let me know that they own the road. Hair up, teeth showing, the whole thing…the entire time, I’m yelling for the owners to come get their Dog!!” I think pit bulls are fine, it’s just the owners who screw them up. And, I’m fine with poopsters coming up and saying hi by barking at me…but when they act aggressive and are about 1 foot from you…that’s where I draw the line!

This dog was not the one that was after me…just wanted to show that pits can be cute too.
I had some serious discussions at work, and I think there are some great things in the future for Vigo County!!!
I wasn’t able to get my evening ride in…sometimes life just happens and that’s the way it is. I tend not to let it get to me if I miss a workout and try to remember that I’m doing this because I love it! Not because I have to.
For dinner, Emily and I went to our favorite sushi place in Terre Haute. Actually, I think it’s really the only place for sushi in Terre Haute. Yummy raw fishies!
After dinner, we washed it down with a new episode of Project Runway. Yes, it’s true-I’m addicted to the show!
Later.
