I am an Atlanta native, father, husband, retired Airborne Ranger, a scoutmaster, triathlete, cyclist, adventure racer, mountain biker, ultra runner, rock climber, hiker, lover of endurance sports and anything outdoors! Having been a runner and cyclist most of my life, my transition into triathlon was a natural evolution. Being a competitive, and goal-oriented person, triathlon provides me a means of staying fit and competitive. In the future I would like to participate in the Eco-challenge, and run the Badwater Ultra-marathon.
Who/what shares your home with you:
Wife Lisa, seventeen year old son David Jr., my dog Vienna (as in Vienna sausage), and a cat named Eggroll… It’s what happens when you let your son name the pets…

Pasta…pasta….and pasta….its what’s for dinner Chocolate or salted chips? Sorry… Pretzels and a cold Corona.

Advice you would give to a new triathlete:
Set challenging and realistic goals… your biggest competition is you… also don’t be intimidated at races, everyone there started out at some point just like you.
